USA, THE ALARM DOES NOT STOP: YET ANOTHER CHILD HAS LOST HIS LIFE IN LOUISIANA, FORGOTTEN IN THE CAR.

Louisiana (USA), also adds to the sad list of American states that in 2020 had one or more episodes of children who died because they had been forgotten in a car under the sun.

This episode is very recent, September 27th and the narration follows the macabre sequence that we have become used to knowing. A parent or relative who transports a child in the car and – because of a real pathology called dissociative amnesia – thinks he has regularly accompanied him to kindergarten, home or some other safe place, but in reality, he forgets him in the car parked in the sun. Where the temperature inside rises at a dizzying speed, reaching 50 degrees and above in a short time, reserving an atrocious end to the poor child.

Here is a video that recounts the episode that happened in Lafayette Parish, highlighting how this 2-year-old child is the 23rd victim in the USA in 2020 of what Americans call the Hot Car Death. A frightening number, but absurdly lower than the average in recent years in the United States. Why? Simple: the pandemic has drastically reduced the number of vehicles on the road for months and the Hot Car Death risk as well.

As we have already written, the gradual return of cars to the road is leading to a new upsurge in tragic accidents. The only hope is that in the USA there’ll be a stronger debate on the mandatory use of anti-abandonment systems such as Tippy Pads for those transporting small children in cars. It would take very little to prevent innocent creatures from losing their lives and entire families from being devastated by this absurd and unreasonable mourning.
