The goal of the television campaign is to make the community aware of the need to remain vigilant, in order to avoid the potentially tragic mistake of forgetting the child in the rear seat of the car, with the serious consequences that unfortunately can result.
The final go-ahead for the provision that makes anti-abandonment car seats mandatory on cars. The provision was approved by the Senate with 261 yes: from 2019 it will therefore be mandatory to install safety devices in cars to prevent the abandonment of minors.
The provision, also known as the Meloni law, which had already received the go-ahead from the Chamber, will enter into force next year. From 1 July 2019, cars carrying children under the age of four must be equipped with an electronic device that signals the presence of children.
